It’s easy to find students!

Teachers and students on our website resolve all questions about training and payment directly with each other! We give teachers and students a platform to find each other and communicate.

The service is paid for by the teachers. No need to pay a commission for every lesson. The subscription price is fixed and very small. :coffee: The cost does not depend on the number of students that the teacher got through our website.

:rocket: Access for teachers and native speakers is completely free for the duration of the project launch.

It is easy for any foreign language teacher to start working with us - register and follow the simple steps.

:one: Become an active teacher

:heavy_check_mark: Fill out your professional pages in detail, following our recommendations.
:heavy_check_mark: Pay for an active teacher’s subscription to access student announcements and personal correspondence with students.

:two: Improve your reliability rating

Students carefully look at your activity on the site, your profile, reviews and likes of users before choosing you.

:heavy_check_mark: Ask students to leave feedback under your profile.
:heavy_check_mark: Publish useful articles on the languages you teach.
:heavy_check_mark: Participate in discussions, like other users, and be useful to other people.

:+1: If the articles section is not active in your language and you want to publish your articles, please let the support know.

:three: Respond to student ads

Discuss the terms directly in the response to the ad or in private messages.

Keep in mind that students can hide the answers of other teachers to get unique price offers. Therefore, if you do not see the answers of other teachers, it does not mean that they are not there.

:four: Discuss the terms

If the student is satisfied with your offer, continue to communicate via private messages.

:five: Ask for feedback

Ask the student to write a review under your profile after completing the training or some time after the start of the training.

:warning: To avoid fake reviews, each review must include a link to the student’s ad, which contains the teacher’s response with the status “Issue resolved”.

You can create one account on our website. After completing the registration, the teacher must go to the account settings and perform the following actions:

  1. Upload your close-up photo (Account > Avatar).

:no_entry_sign: You are not allowed to specify contacts in a personal message, ad, ad response, or blog article.

Teacher profiles

The teacher’s personal page is the professional clothing that students look at first.

Next, students look at the reviews, the presence of articles on the site and their content, the manner of communication with users, the activity of the teacher on the site, and how much benefit was created to other people.

The student gets an impression of you as a specialist and a person before the student chooses you.

Teacher profiles are teacher pages that are dedicated to different languages. For example, if a you teach English, Norwegian, and Czech, then you should create 3 different pages and fill them with a suitable description of a particular professional activity.

The teacher can create an unlimited number of profiles in the form of new topics in the “Teacher Profiles” section.

:heavy_heart_exclamation: Which title should you choose for your profile?

You can come up with any title for your profile. Here are a few options.

  • Name. English language tutor, online and in Paris
  • Name. Preparing for IELTS in Paris and online
  • Name. English online tutor

:woman_shrugging: What can you share in the profile?

You can place the information in any order or add something. We only give tips on how to make your profiles detailed and attractive.

  • Video presentation (link to the YouTube video; be sure to say in the video that it was recorded for Natives.Chat).

  • Schedule of free time. You don’t have to specify a schedule if you don’t have many students yet, or if you are ready to agree on a convenient schedule.

  • Your education, diplomas, certificates.

  • Your work experience.

  • A list of the courses you teach or the types of services you provide. For example: private lessons in Spanish, Spanish for children, express course in Spanish, spoken Spanish, preparation for exams in Spanish, and so on.

  • The cost of the trial lesson and the price list for your services, if you have one. Do not specify fixed prices in the profile, if you are ready to individually determine the cost of training for each student. To create a table, use the following code:

|Type of service|Cost|
|Classes with children|$14 per hour|
|Conversational course|$10 per hour|
|Exam preparation|$20 per hour|

The table will look visually like this:

Type of service Cost
Classes with children $14 per hour
Conversational course $10 per hour
Exam preparation $20 per hour
  • Photos and videos with feedback from your students.

:spiral_calendar: How can you add a schedule to your profile?

You can add a schedule for students to your profile if you have a large number of students. We use Google Calendar. The schedule is automatically updated and synced with your phone. Google Calendar

  1. Fill in the intervals when you are busy and cannot meet with students. You can specify the names of the students for your convenience.

  2. Go to the calendar settings.

  3. Find and copy the code starting with <iframe src...

  4. Add the code to the desired location on the profile page.

The students will only see the intervals when you are free. Here is an example of a calendar:

:earth_asia: What language should you use to create your profile?

A teacher can only have one account on our site. It doesn’t make sense to create more than one profile in a language to increase the number of views of your profiles.

This does not work on our site, because students will only be able to write to you after you respond to their ad, and also because the reliability rating is accumulated for the main account.

  • If you can teach Spanish and Korean in English, then you can create 3 profiles written in English in the “English” section: the first profile marked as “English Teacher”, the second profile marked as “Spanish Teacher” and the third profile marked as “Korean Teacher”.

  • If you can teach English in Spanish, then you can create a Spanish profile in the “Español” section marked “Tutor de ingles”. You will need to send a link to this profile when you respond to Spanish-speaking students.

Put links to profiles in other languages in all your profiles.

:no_entry: What can’t you publish publicly on the site?

You can not publish in your profile:
:no_entry_sign: Any contacts (phone numbers, email, links to pages in social networks).
:no_entry_sign: Identification documents.
:no_entry_sign: Payment details.
:no_entry_sign: Your home address.

All these details can be provided to the student in a personal message, except for the contact details. Contacts should be specified in the account settings (Settings > Profile > About me).

If you break this rule, you will be given a warning. If you receive a certain number of alerts, your account will be permanently blocked without a refund of the cost of active paid services.

Teacher profiles (necessary to be done)

You need to do the following if you teach multiple languages.

  1. Create separate profiles for each language in the “Teacher Profiles” section.

  2. Put links to all your other profiles in each profile.

  3. Collect feedback on the desired profiles, depending on what language you taught the student.

  4. Create one favorite page, where you can give a general description of everything you do, and specify links to your profiles.

  5. Specify your favorite page as a “Favorite topic” in your account settings in the “Profile” section. A link to this topic will be displayed to students in your user profile after they click on your name.

If you have created only one profile, then select it as your favorite topic.

:abacus: How can you clean up your profile?

It’s simple. Use headings and subheadings.

  • Add to the beginning of the profile the following code: <div data-theme-toc="true"> </div>.

  • Add any text from a new line.

  • Put a # sign at the beginning of the line with a space in front of the text if you want to make this text a title.

  • For subheadings of different nesting levels, put the characters ## or ### or #### at the beginning of the line with a space before the text.

Here is an example:

<div data-theme-toc="true"> </div>
# Title 1
## Subtitle 1.1
## Subtitle 1.2
### Subtitle 1.2.1
